- I'm really not sure I enjoyed the Characters Lord Evston, Rokurt, and his little pet girl but the princess Brandese she was immature and suppose to be very smart but came off very ignorant. She ran away to a submissive program to escape being married off to a barbarian and inadvertently put her self right in Lord Evstons path. She thought she wanted him, she thought she liked the idea of being submissive, but she really didn't know crap. The whole book she was back and forth one minute she's all good next minute she's running it was very irritating and confusing. I think the very worst part for me was when she got word that her sister had been given to the barbarian in her place she really made her self look like a spoiled brat...i really am not sure if I would recommend this one or not but hey it's free under KU so you can make your own opinion.
- If you liked the first book with Melsint, Rocurt, and Ev, you’ll like this one just as much. The second book was okay, a little too psychologically dark to be following the first book in my view. This one is like a true sequel to the first, because it’s about Ev finding his true love. Rocurt, who I favor over Ev, is in this quite a bit. This story is a bit more emotionally complex. Princess Brandese is an educated royal who should have been wed to the warrior in the second book, but she ran away and her sister and a maid were taken by a band of warriors. Brandese is found by Ev, taught some sexual lessons and taken to his home, and although she has always been attracted to and been friendly with Ev, they are both conflicted about how a future relationship would work. The author is adept at weaving storyline with explicit sex, including a crazy sex party scene. Interestingly, although there is as much bondage and domination here as the first book, it’s missing anything as startling and disturbing as one scene I found in the first book, and it’s not as dark as the second book.
Also, I’ve found this author’s books to be pretty well proofread. Not to say there aren’t any errors, but the ones I caught didn’t distract me like some of the stuff written by some pretty popular writers.
If you have liked the first two books (or even just the first), you’ll like this one. - A very independent unpet-like princess in love with a dominant who needs a pet to be satisfied. Love finds a way to bring these two together for a happily ever after with lots of misadventures along the way.
- Steamy read. Love the series so far. Looking forward to reading more from this author. Add this book to your list.
- Lots of BDSM action, but the main female comes off as immature, reckless and whiney.
- Just like the title, a bit dark but a great read.
- The characters and how it was played out.
- Very good stories, flowed from one to another a few surprises characters were interesting and entertaining. Good read for the genre
